A Refreshing Gut-Cleansing Avocado Salad

After an indulgent dinner out—one of those places where everything on the menu feels like a must-try—I found myself in need of a serious reset. While the flavors were absolutely worth it, my body was craving something light, nourishing, and green. So, I kicked off a two-day salad streak with one of my all-time favorite combinations: avocado, cucumber, cilantro, and parsley.

This gut-friendly salad isn’t just refreshing—it’s packed with nutrients and ingredients that support digestion, hydration, and detoxification.

Why This Salad Works Wonders for Gut Health

Avocados are a nutritional powerhouse. With up to 14 grams of fiber per fruit, they’re excellent for supporting gut health and keeping digestion on track. They also add a creamy texture that makes this salad satisfyingly rich.

Cucumbers bring a crisp, hydrating element to the dish. High in both water and fiber, they help flush out toxins, keep your skin glowing, and support overall hydration.

Cilantro is one of my go-to herbs. I use it in just about everything—hot or cold—because of its bold flavor and health benefits. Rich in antioxidants, cilantro is known for its blood sugar-lowering properties and detoxifying effects.

Parsley, another staple in my kitchen, is equally impressive. Also loaded with antioxidants, parsley helps reduce bloating and supports the body in releasing excess water.

Gut-friendly avocado contains as much as 14 grams of fiber.
