Rejuvenate with face yoga
As a yoga practitioner for over a decade, I can vouch for the many benefits this ancient practice brings. It helps me feel more at peace, keeps me grounded during turbulent times, improves my flexibility (even for someone as initially inflexible as I was), and keeps me in shape.
If, like me, you’re looking for ways to age gracefully, reduce wrinkles, and smooth out those tedious fine lines—all without Botox or going under the knife—then read on. While it might sound unbelievable at first, with persistence and patience, face yoga can bring significant changes by tapping into your skin’s natural healing abilities.
What Is Face Yoga?
Face yoga consists of a mix of targeted exercises and massages that you can easily perform in the comfort of your home. The best part? All you need are your hands! While research on the benefits of this practice is still limited, I’ve personally noticed improvements in blood flow, softer and less puffy skin, and a noticeable reduction in fine lines—which had been my biggest concern.

Getting Started with Face Yoga
One of the best things about face yoga is that it doesn’t require any financial investment. You can start with just a couple of minutes a day and gradually work up to 20–30 minutes. There are specific exercises and massages tailored to different areas of the face. For instance, to smooth out your forehead, place the middle and index fingers of both hands on your forehead, massage downward, and lift your eyebrows simultaneously.
If you’re unsure where to begin, here’s a helpful beginner’s class I recommend from my favorite yoga website. It’s an excellent resource to guide you through the basics.
Consistency Is Key
With consistent practice—ideally every day or at least every other day—you may start noticing significant results in just a few months. However, face yoga works best when complemented by a holistic skincare routine. Be sure to apply SPF daily, maintain a diet rich in antioxidants, stay hydrated, and consider supplements like Semaine Hair & Skin, which includes collagen and astaxanthin to support skin health from the inside out.
