Rejuvenate the skin with face yoga

As a yoga practitioner for over a decade I vouch for the many benefits this ancient practice brings, making me feel more at peace, giving me more flexibility (even to someone inflexible like myself), and shaping my body.

It may be hard to believe at first but face yoga, with persistence and patience, has brought some significant changes to my skin by leveraging the skin's own natural ability to heal.

Face yoga consists of a mix of targeted exercises that you can do at home.

If you, like myself, are looking into ways to age gracefully, eliminating wrinkles and those tedious fine lines, without doing botox or going under the knife, read on. Facial yoga consists of a mix of targeted exercises as well as some massages you can do in the comfort of your home. All you need are your hands!

Although there are very few studies about the scientific benefits of this practice, I personally noticed an improvement in blood flow, a softer and less puffy skin, as well as a decrease in fine lines, which has been my biggest concern.

Since it requires splashing zero cash you can probably give it a try. Start with just a couple of minutes and work your way up to 20/30 minutes every day. There are different kinds of massages according to the area you want to address, for example to smooth the forehead you can just place the middle and index fingers of both hands on your forehead and start by massaging downwards while lifting the eyebrows. Here is an easy class I recommend to get you started from the yoga website I am devoted to.

By practicing constantly, everyday or at least every other day, you may be able to see significant results in just a few months.

And while this practice does improve the appearance of your skin, it is important to use SPF daily, have a proper diet filled with antioxidants, drink water and take the right supplements like Semaine hair & skin with collagene and astaxanthin.

Try it and let us know what you think!
