Replenish and nurture your skin with Açai powerful antioxidants

We can all agree that the weekend goes by way too fast! Yesterday was one of those weekend mornings when the weather was perfect to jump out of bed and go for a walk or a bike ride, instead I decided to stay in my warm sheets for a little bit longer.

A weekend treat is breakfast in bed and one of my favorite things to indulge in is a super healthy cup of açai with some granola, shredded coconut, banana and a spoonful of peanut butter. It is so smooth and tasty, it’s now a weekend hit.  

Açai has 10x more antioxidants than any other berry and it has anti-inflammatory properties as well as Vitamin C.

Açai is also a very special fruit: it’s a superfood which originates from the Amazonian rainforest. It’s a true gift from nature: it’s loaded with antioxidants, like most berries, but açai has 10x more than berries, with a higher absorption rate; it also contains anthocyanins, which are also found in grapes (and wine). Combined this is an antioxidant extravaganza not easily found in other fruits. They also contain loads of Vitamin C which is a boon for our skin as it is a powerful anti-inflammatory, but also zinc and much more.

Enough for now! Time to go out and grab some frozen, or powdered, açai from your local supermarket. Just blend it with frozen berries and bananas and enjoy it with various healthy toppings. Be mindful of brain freeze.
